“This is something I think everyone should try to participate in,” said Roz Hamlett, a public information officer from Anne Arundel County Executive Steuart Pittman's office.
“The numbers are going up and they’re discussing what the county’s response is going to be. They’re going to talk it through today with the community.”
County Executive Pittman and Health Officer Dr. Kalyanaraman plan to host the Emergency Town Hall Tonight to discuss rising COVID19 case numbers.
The event will be streamed live on:
Channel 38 on Verizon
Channel 98 on Comcast / Broadstripe
In a Facebook Post Monday the Pittman wrote:
“COVID numbers in Maryland and Anne Arundel County are trending up at an alarming rate. Modeling suggests that if we continue current behavior the surge will accelerate.
We are in conversations with public health experts, the state, and other County Executives in central Maryland about how we can get our rate of spread back below 1.0 as it was in the month of June. But, I also want to have a direct conversation with the people most impacted - the residents of this county.
I know its short notice, but please join me and Health Officer Dr. Nilesh Kalyanaraman tonight at 5:30 p.m. for this Emergency Town Hall."
