Anne Arundel police hope Halloween 2019 murder witnesses have change of heart, offer $10K


On October 31, 2019, just when trick or treaters were probably out, at approximately 7:15 in the evening, Anne Arundel County Police Department officers responded to the shooting of 24-year-old Michael Lee Wise in the 400 block of Gatewood Court in Glen Burnie. Wise died on the sidewalk,

The case isn't closed and the police department is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of MR. Wise's murderer/s.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department is revisiting the case today in a release to the public. They are confident that there were witnesses in this case as it took place during the height of Halloween activity two years ago.

In a press statement on Halloween the department stated:

"We understand that over time relationships and loyalties change. Anyone with any information is strongly encouraged to come forward. Your information could assist in giving closure to Mr. Wise's loved ones and getting a murderer off of our streets. If you have information contact the Anne Arundel County Homicide Unit at 410-222-4731. One can also remain anonymous by calling the Anne Arundel County Tip Line 410-222-4700 or Metro Crime Stoppers."


The department is also asking for public help in discovering information surrounding the murder of 39-year-old Andre Lee Garrett in Oxon Hill, Maryland that took place the day before Wise's killing, on Hospital Drive in Glen Burnie at around 3 p.m.. Garrett was from Oxon Hill, Maryland.

His shooter is described as an African American male, approximately 5’06, thin build, wearing a dark t-shirt and hat.

A $10,000 reward is also available for anyone who has information leading to the arrest and conviction of Mr. Gareett's killer/s.
