Utility and contractor crews will conduct a single-lane closure and flagging operation on the MD 450 (King George Street) bridge over College Creek in Annapolis starting Monday, October 11, to accommodate a U.S. Naval Academy contractor working on the facility’s heating system.
The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) has permitted the overnight closures, which will be in place until expected completion on October 22.
Starting Monday night, motorists can expect the single-lane closure and flagging operation to take place on the bridge 8 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. Mondays through Thursday nights. During the closure, crews will address system repairs and maintenance on the bridge.
MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving, look for reduced speed limits as well as other driving pattern changes. Motorists can dial #77 or 911 on their mobile device for roadside assistance.
