Police dog finds boy who allegedly fired flare gun at people in Glen Burnie last night

A 16-year old Glen Burnie boy was discovered by a police dog hiding under a parked vehicle in possession of a flare gun, after Anne Arundel County Police Department Officers (AACPD)responded to a shots-fired call last night. The incident took place on the 200 block of Water Fountain Court in Glen Burnie, at about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 27.

The boy was identified by witnesses who had provided a description of him. The investigation revealed the suspect fired the flare gun toward several victims, police reported in a release..

No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.

The suspect was arrested and charged with 1st Degree Assault, (a felony), 2nd degree assault, Disorderly Conduct, Discharge of a Weapon, and four counts of Reckless Endangerment.

The young man was also charged with Theft for allegedly stealing the flare gun.

"It was determined the flare gun was stolen from Walmart," said AACPD spokesman Marc Limansky.
