State Senator's primer on the 6/2 primary

District 33 Maryland State Senator Ed Reilly released this information today on voting in the June 2, primary:

The Maryland State Board of Elections has developed a comprehensive plan for the Presidential Primary Election to be conducted by mail-in ballot. All registered voters should have received a ballot in the mail at this time. If you have not received a ballot please report this to the State Board of Elections at 1-800-222-8683 and request a new one

Voter Registration If you are not registered to vote, and would like to do so, you may visit this website to register to vote. However, you must complete this on-line process by May, 27, 2020. There will be same day voter registration on election day, June 2, 2020, at one of the specified Voter Centers and Drop Off Locations.

Voting Via The Mail In Ballot Once you have your mail in ballot, review the instructions that come with the ballot. Fill out the form using a black pen to mark the circles. Be sure to sign the back of your ballot envelope where they request your signature. Your ballot will not be valid unless it has been signed in this location. Do not sign the physical ballot. Return it to the Maryland State Board of Elections in the envelope that is supplied. This envelope must be postmarked by Tuesday, June 2, 2020. It must be received by the Maryland State Board of Elections by Friday, June 12, 2020. No postage is required if you use the envelope supplied in your ballot packet. Another option is to drop your ballot off at a Vote Center & Ballot Drop Off Location, You may do so starting Thursday, May 21, 2020 - Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at the following locations in Anne Arundel County. If you did not receive a ballot in the mail, or cannot vote using the ballot you received in the mail, you may go to a vote center and vote on June 2, 2020.
