Brief: Prince George’s cop arrested for August Annapolis road rage incident

The Prince George County Police Department has arrested James Thomley of Annapolis, an off-duty Prince George’s County police officer, on assault charges. The Annapolis Police Department reported that on the morning August 26, Thomley allegedly pointed a handgun at the female victim in what the department describes as a “road rage” incident. The victim alleged to police that Thomley was in police uniform when the incident occurred. Patti Norris, spokesperson for the Annapolis Police department said road rage incidents were not common in Annapolis. Officers took almost a month to make the arrest, because investigators needed to collect evidence for the assault charge, she said. A spokesperson for the Annapolis mayor’s office declined to comment.
