Fort Mead Mapes/175 gate closed next week

Fort Meade has announced in a press release that the Mapes/175 Access Control Point (gate) will be closed from Sunday, March 20 through Friday, March 25. The Mapes/175 gate will close for construction beginning at 9 p.m. Sunday, March 20 and remain closed through 9 p.m. Friday March 25th. During this time the Rockenbach Road Access Control point will serve as the installations and visitor check point. During this time, the Mapes/32 ACP will remain operational for its normally scheduled hours. All gates will return to their normal operating hours beginning Saturday,March 26. Please pay attention to detour signs that will be posted throughout the area. Fort Meade is now the largest employer in the state of Maryland and with more than 63,000 employees, is the second largest Army installation in the continental United States in terms of personnel.
